Биография: Mei is the second of three daughters. Her parents, who love anime, named her after Mei Kusakabe from the film, `My Neighbor Totoro`.
Mei debuted as an idol in 2014 with the military-themed unit `Tenkou Shoujo Kagekidan` (later renamed `Tenko Shojo*`). She announced her graduation from the group on September 10, 2019.
Beginning in September 2016, Mei has hosted readings of original essays, short stories, and scripts entitled `Mei Nadeshiko` (夢詠撫子).
